Hi I'm Taylor Greenberg Goldy

SCROLL DOWN

Hi I'm Taylor Greenberg Goldy

When we consider that the most valuable resource any of us has is our time, we realize that what we choose to do with our time defines our humanity and gives our lives meaning. This simple truth motivates me every day to be busy being born.

I’m most happy and engaged when I work with others on projects for the greater good; projects that make life better overall that are human-centered at the core.  From my thesis work at RISD to my research at the Wyss Institute, the most important thing that I’ve held on to is the idea of understanding on a human level.  Whether that be the interaction between human and the forms created around it or even deeper, the effect or impact of a product. My work with the Pediatric Cancer Foundation taught me early on that finding a creative way to help others makes me feel much more fulfilled. There’s a limit to how much one can grow on their own – when you help others, you help the world and often find opportunities you never knew existed. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Whether working alone or in teams, the best results come from setting aside ego, focusing on the end result and getting to work. Artistic and intellectual honesty and authenticity are integral to long term success and I’ve staked my future happiness and contentment to this belief. It informs all of my actions, relations, and aspirations. It’s what gives me the freedom to be creative in my work. My only agenda is to be real and to work with the best talent I can find; to promote honest pursuits and honorable goals unfiltered by ego or greed; to search for, find and pursue positive impact of my work and in the work of others.

I not only have the capabilities but the obligation to help the world become a better place. I believe the more we collaborate and share ideas across fields, the more impactful our creations will be.  Whether the goals of my projects are to bring smiles to another person’s face or to make the world more sustainable, I know I’m achieving my goal as a designer when I see the effect and contribution of my work in the world.

My journey has certainly not been traditional, and that’s why I love it so incredibly much.  There is so much opportunity in the world today to make things better, and it’s my job and responsibility to contribute and solve problems.
